MADRID (AP) - With 14 European Cup titles between them, Real Madrid and Liverpool meet Wednesday in the continent's premier club competition for only the second time.

But while Liverpool is fading in the Premier League, nine-time European champion Madrid has put pressure on Spanish leader Barcelona with nine straight league wins - its third longest streak in history and best in 23 years - heading into Wednesday's Champions League match.

"I knew it could be difficult when the draw took place because they were a good team, and now they have improved from two months ago," Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez said. "(But) Anything can happen in a game."

Liverpool is hoping for the return of captain Steven Gerrard, who was out for three weeks with a hamstring injury. Benitez said he would wait till after Tuesday evening's training session before making any decisions about his skipper's fitness.

Gerrard trained normally with the rest of the squad during the workout.

The game will be a special one for Benitez, who returns to his hometown for his first visit since joining Liverpool.

Benitez came up through Madrid's youth system as a player and then coach before becoming an assistant to Vicente del Bosque during the 1993-94 season.

The Spaniard, who never won in Madrid with Valencia, has stacked his roster with five Spanish players, including former Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres.

Torres, however, has never scored a competitive goal at the Santiago Bernabeu, nor won a match there while playing with Atletico.

Madrid, which has conceded only four goals under coach Juande Ramos, has cut Barcelona's lead from 12 to seven points in two months.

"In Madrid we're going to win 3-0, and at Anfield we'll also win 1-2 because they'll open up and we'll overrun them," interim Madrid president Vicente Boluda said. "Wednesday's game will be a great one."

Ramos has won 11 of 12 games since replacing fired coach Bernd Schuster in December and has a full roster to choose from with Arjen Robben healthy and strikers Raul Gonzalez and Gonzalo Higuain in excellent form.

"I only want to win and we're going to do it in both legs," Robben said.

Only Raul is taking a slightly more cautious approach.

"I see it as being very equal," Raul said in Tuesday's edition of Marca. "We're a lot better than when the draw came out, while Liverpool has lost a little. It'll be 180 intense minutes between two teams that know what is at stake. I think the little details could make the difference."

The return leg at Anfield will be played on March 10.

Madrid last reached the Champions League quarterfinals in 2004, while Liverpool has won six of its past seven two-legged series against Spanish opposition, the last against Barcelona two years ago. The English club has also reached the semifinals in three of the last four years, including on its way to beating AC Milan in the 2005 final.

Benitez, who took credit for Madrid's decision to sign Raul on Monday, said Madrid's all-time leading scorer could prove the difference.

"He could be more or less the same to Real Madrid as Gerrard is to us," Benitez said.

Arjen Robben Predicts Real Madrid Will Not Beat Liverpool Easily

Real Madrid's president may think that his team can easily beat Liverpool in the Champions League in midweek, but Robben is slightly more cautious.

Arjen Robben hoping to be able to help the prediction by real madrid president come true when they take on liverpool in the Champion League on Wednesday evening in the Bernabeu.

Vicente Boluda believes that the home team will win 3-0 in the first game and, though the Dutch international admits that would be great, he knows it is a huge task.

"I hope we do but that's easy to say when you're not on the pitch,” Robben laughed. “He will be in the presidential box and we will be on the pitch.

"That would be a great result but Liverpool are a very good team and they are strong in the Champions League. It will be difficult.

"I expect them to be strong. They have a very good coach, who prepares their tactics very well. We will have to focus on playing our own game."

Robben was twice on the losing team in the semi-finals with Chelsea against Liverpool but he believes that means nothing as he prepares for this encounter.

"That's football for you," he continued. "But I am no longer at Chelsea and I hope the result changes this time. It is tough to lose two semi-finals, but you have to move on."

Madrid have scored ten goals in their last two league outings, netting four at Sporting Gijon and then putting six past Real Betis. Robben is not sure why the goals have suddenly started to come.

"We [have] scored ten goals in the last two games and I [have] hardly played," he said. "The team has quality players and I know we'll be able to score against Liverpool.

"I played a little in the second half of our previous clash [against Betis] to get the feel of things again and I now feel ready to play tomorrow.

"It is hard to explain. We are playing very well and our opponents may have had a bad day. Betis had played very well in their previous two games but they probably lacked confidence against us."

Underground. Where else would you expect to find the true blood and guts of the extreme metal scene? The filthiest, most brutal bands dishing out the most intense punishment are here, unfettered by here-today-gone-tomorrow trends or the temptation to conform to some notion of what a metal band should be. Suicide Silence, an astonishingly well-developed five-piece from Riverside, CA, are a true product of that always thriving underground, a band single-mindedly focused on creating rabidly heavy and aggressive music.

Suicide Silence started in late 2002 as a side project for its members who were all involved in other local bands at the time. Things didn’t get serious, however, until 2004, when the current lineup was solidified. “Early on we were slower and sludgier,” explains drummer Josh Goddard, “but through a few member changes the sound became more powerful and energetic.” This mix of musicians brought together their influences—death metal, grindcore, black metal, hardcore, doom—and combined them into songs that are complex without being mystifying, and savagely fast and explosive without becoming a featureless blur.

Their debut 5-song EP for Third Degree Records is a brutal testament to the sort of damage Suicide Silence is capable of inflicting. Though definitely rooted in what Goddard calls a “fast-paced death metal style,” it defies that genre’s sometimes predictable conventions, striving instead for something more unique. The songs are dynamic and crushing, shifting effortlessly from insane grind chaos into total molten sludge, with plenty of dynamic twists and turns along the way. Vocalist Mitch Lucker screams, growls and grunts over an ungodly guitar assault, while the band’s surgically precise rhythm section handles the disorienting time signatures and snail-paced grooves with equal efficiency.

It is a sound that, though well-manifested on their EP, is devastating live. Suicide Silence’s breakdowns cause havoc in the pit, their blast-beats are neck-snapping and there is a palpable sense of barely controlled pandemonium when they play live. “We don’t hold back,” says Goddard, “and we try to give the crowd a show rather than standing around watching the moshpit and acting tough.” The reputation they’ve staked as a fearsome live act has brought them the opportunity to play with bands as diverse as God Forbid, Impaled, Bury Your Dead and Between the Buried and Me. And touring fervently in support of every release is a given.

Suicide Silence may be a product of the burgeoning metal underground in the U.S., but their goals are far from modest. Without pandering to trends, or riding some scene’s coattails, the band always wants to move forward, wherever it takes them. “We never want to stop improving—as a band, as individual musicians, as songwriters and as performers,” says Goddard. “We want to make sure that every album we put out and every show we play is better than the last.”

Song Hye Kyo's debut movie "My Girl and I" is a heartwarming story about true love and happiness. The film starts in modern day Korea where we see Kim Su Ho (Cha Tae-hyun) return to his hometown after ten years to attend a reunion with his high school friends. He sadly strolls as he hears a female voice in his head calling out his name.

The next scene shows us Su Ho's three friends celebrating and talking about Su Ho. They doubt that he'll attend their reunion because he apparently hasn't gotten over some girl. It is said that on that day of their reunion, it is the death anniversary of a girl named Su-eun. To everyone's surprise, Su Ho enters and warmly greets his friends.

After celebrating, the four friends go to a lighthouse where Su Ho's friend shouts, "Bae Su-eun, my friend's brain is small but is filled with endless thoughts of you. Please let my friend go." Su Ho becomes emotional and starts to cry.

The next scene is a flashback wherein a younger Su Ho is rescued from drowning by a pretty girl. Her beeper got lost in the process of rescuing him but she just walked away. Su Ho then wakes up and thinks that his friends had saved him from drowning.

The next scene leads us to a music class. Su Ho and his classmates were asked to sing in chorus. He sang normally just like the other students but was distracted when his classmate, Bae Su-eun started staring at him. Su Ho suddenly became conscious and curious at the same time. After all, Su-eun is the prettiest girl in their high school, so why should she show interest in the ordinary-looking Su Ho? Su-eun notices the expression on Su Ho's face and quickly looks away. Su Ho's classmate and friend sits in front of him, sighs and says "What will I do? I have to concentrate on my studies." He told Su Ho that Su-eun always stares at him in class. Su Ho just shrugged for he thought that Su-eun may actually be interested in him but was not.

After class, Su Ho and Su-eun pass by each other in the hallway. They were about to walk past each other when they got into each other's way. They repeatedly tried several methods so that they could easily pass but it often resulted in Su Ho blocking Su-eun's way and vice versa. Finally, Su Ho held Su-eun's shoulders and passed by the small space to Su-eun's right. Su Ho was about to walk away when Su-eun called him. She asked him to buy her a croquette (bread stuffed with vegetables or meat) which naturally surprised Su Ho. He knew that if he and Su-eun ate together, other people might think that they're going out and it would be hard for both of them but especially for him because Su-eun had many suitors from all over the school. But in the end, Su Ho still bought two croquettes and when the other students noticed, they immediately assumed that the two were dating.

Word spread fast and soon the captain of the Judo club who had his eyes set on Su-eun sought Su Ho. He threatened to beat Su Ho but Su Ho immediately said that he wasn't seeing Su-eun. By chance, Su-eun passed by and when the captain asked if she was seeing Su Ho, she quickly replied that they are indeed going out. The captain got really mad and threw Su Ho down the floor. Su Ho's friends arrived to rescue him and immediately they escaped.

Su Ho and Su-eun stayed by the boardwalk where a lighthouse stood. The two spoke for a while wherein Su-eun hinted to Su Ho that she saved him but he was really really slow minded and he couldn't comprehend what she was trying to say. Su-eun asked him to get her a beeper for she lost hers because of him. Su Ho didn't understand and she got irritated and called him a dummy. Later, they watched the sun set together.

Su Ho then walked Su-eun home and she wrote her beeper number on a piece of fruit for she was afraid that her parents and especially her strict and "scary" father would find out. Although her beeper was lost, she could still receive and leave messages on its system. That night, Su-eun and Su Ho confessed their feelings for each other.

The next day, Su Ho was called out of class because his grandfather supposedly collapsed. He quickly went to his grandfather's home and found him alive and looked normal. Turns out, he just faked a stroke so that he could share the story of his first love to Su Ho. Again, by chance, Su-eun arrived bringing Su Ho's bag. Although reluctant at first, Su Ho's grandfather shared his story to a complete stranger.

When he was young, Su Ho's grandfather joined the army and was assigned to a different region in Korea. He was separated from his first love, Soon-Im. He left her a necklace to remember him by.

Years passed and soon he became an undertaker. Once, he was asked to prepare a funeral and as it turned out, the dead man was Soon-Im's husband. They couldn't even say a word to each other and soon he married another woman, Su Ho's grandmother.

Su Ho then realizes that he loves Su-eun and he wishes for her to be his destiny so that they wouldn't suffer the same fate as his grandfather. Using a payphone, Su Ho left a message on Su-eun's beeper. In it he said that he wished she could be his destiny, completely unaware that she was behind him until she replied, "Me too."

From that day on, Su Ho and Su-eun officially became a couple.

Su Ho's friends proposed an outing--an overnight stay in Fog Island. As Su Ho and Su-eun arrived together at the pier, he finds out that his friends tricked him so that he and Su-eun would have some time alone. He made up lies to cover up but she was smart and knew that it was only the two of them alone. At first, Su-eun seemed mad but then she herself bought two tickets to Fog Island.

At the island their love deepened even more. One night, they had their first kiss.

Things were going so well until one day, Su-eun fainted and her body started to weaken. Su Ho rushed her to the hospital and tried to live his life normally.

He visited her everyday. What he thought was just simple anemia turned out to be leukemia. Su Eun was going to die even if the doctors try to operate on her. Her one last wish was to go back to Fog Island, where their love bloomed.

Another woman also had a last wish before she died--Soon-Im. She wished to be reunited with her first love, Su Ho's grandfather. He even prepared her funeral and was reunited with his first love, the woman he had loved for 50 years.

One day, when Su Ho visited the hospital, Su-eun expressed her last wish and before she could say anything else, he brought out two ferry tickets for Fog Island. On the day of their departure, a typhoon struck and all trips were cancelled. Su Ho desperately tried to convince the authorities to let them travel but to no avail.

As he was arguing with the management, Su-eun felt even weaker and she knew it was already her time. She said her last words and wished for Su Ho in her mind. As he was apologizing to her about the storm, she collapsed into Su Ho and died.

Ten years later, Su Ho returned to Fog Island and found Su-eun's bag in the lost and found section. Inside the bag was her diary which she updated everyday. There was one entry that was written during their trip to Fog Island. It seems Su-Eun had planted seeds in the hill during their visit and promised herself that when those seeds became flowers, she'll come back with Su Ho to that island, year after year, after year. The hill covered with flowers will be her gift to him.

Su Ho quickly went to the hill and was overjoyed to see it covered with purple flowers. He felt Bae Su-eun's presence around him as memories of his first and true love filled his heart.

As childhood friends, Jung Suh and Song Joo held a special bond within their friendship that blossomed into love. They were always by each other's side even when Song Joo's father dies and when Jung Suh's mother dies. After a few months, Jung Suh's father meets an actress and, soon, falls in love with her. The two of them get married and Jung Suh is very happy that her father is finally smiling, stating to Song Joo that she hasn't seen her father smile like that since her mother passed away. After her stepmother moves in, she brings her daughter (Yoo-Ri) and son (Tae-Hwa), but when Jung Suh's father leaves for work, her stepmother shows her true nature as a cruel woman. She thwarts Jung Suh's attempts to study abroad and so Song Joo leaves to America to study abroad, leaving a sad Jung Suh behind. Jung Suh is left alone to suffer in the silent cruelty of her step sister, Yoo-Ri, and new step mother. Jung Suh's cruel stepmother plots for her own daughter, Yoo-Ri, to win the affections of Song Joo who comes from a rich family and thwarts any attempts of Jung Suh's to be with Song Joo. All the while, Jung Suh tries to be nice to her new step brother, Tae Hwa, who in return mistakes this friendship for affection. Tae Hwa falls in love with young Jung Suh.

Song Joo is in America for three years. On the night of his return, an excited Jung Suh rushes to greet him. A jealous Yoo-Ri, consumed with rage, Yoori runs Jungsuh over drunk driving and hits Jung Suh with her car, intentionally, and when she goes to the hospital, there's a huge group of people that just died in fire, and Yoori slips Jungsuh's ID into one of the people that just died in the fire to exchange identity to fake Jungsuh's death, Tae Hwa, still in love with Jung Suh, finds out what Yoo-Ri has done but sees the accident as a chance to run away with Jung Suh, who would otherwise return to Song Joo. Yoo-Ri and Tae Hwa, along with their biological father, are the only ones who know what has happened, and Tae Hwa's father agrees to cover up for his daughter. Jung Suh loses her memory, and Tae Hwa moves them away and changes their names.

Five years after the accident, this also remarks the beginning of sorrow. The day before getting together with the families to arrange engagement, Songjoo decides that he needs to let go of Jungsuh. So he's sitting there with his couple-necklace from yearss ago and all, and he whispers "Jungsuh... I wish I can see you just one more time.. just once" and looks up, and on the carousel, he sees her on it.Jung Suh, who is now Kim Ji-soo (after being renamed by Tae Hwa), Song-joo was telling Ji-soo that she is Han Jung-Suh but she does not believe Song-joo's words and thinks that she's Kim Ji-soo, but not Han Jung-Suh. She and Tae Hwa are engaged and have been working in the clothing industry. After many close encounters with Song Joo, including being hired by his company to design a new clothing line for new mall. And finally, one day, Jung Suh regains her memory. However, by this time, Song Joo was already in Jung Suh's returning feelings for Song Joo and his own perverse actions of he start hiding her from her family for three years to get eye surgery. Jung Suh goes blind, and decides that she no longer wants Song Joo to see her, for he would surely be pained at the thought of her suffering. His step-borther,Tae Hwa, an artist, helps Jung Suh by forging real paintings to raise money for her surgery. However, Song Joo soon finds out that Jung Suh is ill, and Tae-Hwa and Song Joo team up to help Jung Suh. Tae Hwa finally gives up Jung Suh to be with Song Joo, who calls off his engagement to Yoo-Ri and marries Jung Suh. At their wedding, Tae Hwa and Yoo-Ri's father, Bil-su, revealed that it was Yoo-Ri who had hit Jung Suh, and Yoo-Ri is arrested. Jung Suh's stepmother is later renounced by Jung Suh's father and loses her sanity. She is sent to a mental institution. Jung-suh later went for platative radiotherapy to kill the cancer cells in her eyes. However, had the cancer spread, she would have faced certain death.

Over the next few weeks, Jung Suh and Song Joo spend quality time together as husband and wife; Song Joo and Tae-hwa even become good friends. Jung Suh tells Tae-Hwa that her one wish would be to see Song Joo's face again, one last time. Both Song Joo and Tae-Hwa (separately) ask a doctor to allow them to give Jung Suh one of their corneas, but the doctor informs them that they are not allowed to take corneas from live donors. Song Joo leaves the hospital disappointed, while Tae-hwa thinks pensively about Jung Suh's last wish. He decides that he wants to grant that wish at all costs and begins to set in motion his plan. He creates fake pictures of him and a girl in France, writes letters to be sent later, and tells his friends and family that he will be going to Paris, France for his art and is not sure when he will be returning. What everyone does not realize is that Tae-hwa has decided to commit suicide in order to donate his cornea to Jung-suh. He drives one night, covers his eyes, and accelerates. After his death, Jung-suh has the operation and is able to see again. However, Jung-suh later on found out that the cancer was already metastasis when she vomited in a conference. Though Song Joo wants her to pursue all chemotherapy treatments to live, she decides that she would much rather spend time with him than "die in a hospital." She also finds out about Tae-hwa's sacrifice for her and Jung Suh and Song Joo both cry. Jung-suh went to visit Yoo-Ri and her stepmother in jail and hospital respectively, shortly before her death. Jung-suh died days later at the seaside near her childhood house in the arms of Song-joo.

Song-joo played a tune which he had played with Jung-suh during their childhood days. At length, he stood up, asking Jung-suh if she could hear him.

It had been raining for more than a week, so much rain it made everyday seemed so restless and gloomy. She called and said she was coming up. It was the third time she came up to see me that week. I carried her excuse of why she came all the way here and went to meet her at the nearby seven-eleven. She was standing there alone, carrying her red umbrella. Her friend had dropped her off. It was raining and she was shivering. She looked weak and fragile in the harsh rain, wearing not enough to keep her warm.

I walked up to her and said, "You shouldn't come see me anymore," and stuff like how we shouldn't be together.
She said, "I miss you."
I told her coldly, "Lets go, I'll take you home."
She did not open up her umbrella, I knew she wanted to share mine.
I said, "Open up your umbrella, let's go."

Unwillingly, She opened up her umbrella and walked with me to the car. She said she hadn't eat lunch or dinner and asked if we could stop at some place to eat.

Right away I answered with a stoned heart, "No!"
Disappointed, she asked me to take her to the train station, she said she would take the train back home.

Maybe it was the rain, all the trains were full of people with umbrellas and suit cases who were eager to get home, not caring about who just passed by. We waited and waited, she looked at me innocently. Being together for so long, of course I knew what she meant. I understand how she must feel when she came all this way here in this kind of weather and I treat her like this. With her soft eyes staring at me, I felt guilt and wanted to let her stay for the night.

But reality struck again, I said to her coldly, "Let's go try the other train station."

We were living in the same apartment building, on the same floor. Back then there were four of us, and we got along well. We would always eat dinner together, watch movies, and sometimes go camping. We were more like a family, but I didn't know I would end up falling in love with the only girl of the four. Maybe it was during the last year of college, having living together for two years, we developed deep feelings for each other. After she graduated she went back home, and I stayed for one more year to finish school. During that year I was only able to take the train down to see her on holidays, but never for long. That was how we kept the treasured relationship.

We were walking along the side of the road. She was in front of me and I was right behind her. Her umbrella had a broken spoke. She looked liked a wounded soldier, carrying her rusted rifle walking weakly. Many times, she was too into thinking or whatever she was doing, drifting off the road, she almost got hit by the cars passing by. I wanted to just take her in my arms, but with the love I had for her and the constant pain in my stomach, I did nothing. On the way, we passed by the park where we use to always go.

She begged and said, "Lets go in the park just for a little while please, I promise I'll go home right after this."

A first-half goal from Xabi Alonso ended Chelsea's 86-match unbeaten home league record and put Liverpool three points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League.Alonso struck in the ninth minute when his 20-yard shot deflected off Jose Bosingwa to leave goalkeeper Petr Cech flat-footed.Chelsea had their moments but Ashley Cole wasted their best chance of the match in 73rd minute by firing wide from eight yards.Chelsea began the brighter of the two sides and their initial thrusts almost resulted in an opening goal.Nicolas Anelka dribbled his way into the penalty area in the third minute but was tackled before he could test Jose Reina.The ball fell to Deco but the Chelsea midfielder's shot was deflected to safety.Liverpool went ahead in the ninth minute with their first attack of the match.Chelsea failed to deal with a throw when John Terry could only half clear Dirk Kuyt's clever back-header.The ball fell to Xabi Alonso on the edge of the penalty area and his shot deflected off Bosingwa past Petr Cech.

Liverpool were now in commanding form and dominating the action. Liverpool's speed on the counter-attack almost opened up Chelsea again in the 43rd minute but, despite some confusion in the home defence, John Mikel Obi managed to clear their lines.Chelsea began the second half in a much brighter fashion and it required an interception from Carragher to prevent a cross from Florent Malouda reaching its destination in the six-yard box.

In the 53rd minute Malouda was booked for checking a fine run by Alvaro Arbeloa.Moments later Malouda was felled by Liverpool keeper Reina in the penalty area but he had already been ruled offside by referee Webb.Ashley Cole was next into Webb's book when the official took a dislike to his challenge on Carragher.In the 57th minute, Kuyt tried his luck from 20 yards but his effort was wide of the target.It was the catalyst for a Chelsea to make a double substitution with Malouda and Kalou replaced by Juliano Belletti and Franco Di Santo.It was another indication of Chelsea's growing frustration and it prompted Liverpool to replace Keane with Ryan Babel.The Reds were awarded a free-kick 25-yards out in the 60th minute when Belletti kicked Riera in the face.Chelsea then had a massive escape when Alonso's effort rebounded off the foot of the post for Ricardo Carvalho to clear.Liverpool's Babel was brought down by Cole as he tried to collect the ball but referee Webb decided to book Javier Mascherano for attempting to persuade the official to dismiss the left-back.Cole squandered a great chance to level the scores in the 73rd minute when Di Santo nodded Lampard's cross into his path.But the defender screwed his effort wide of the post from eight yards.
